Digital & Social Director / Boston

The Digital Director lives and works at the intersection of media, creative, analytics, production, social, and content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide smart perspective and counsel on overall digital, social and content industry landscape, trends and best practices. Drive thought leadership around content development, engagement practices, measurement and process.

  • Lead social media strategy development, planning and execution, working closely with account, planning and creative teams to ensure effectiveness.

  • Work directly with account staff to explore, define, activate and measure digital and social marketing programs on behalf of MMB’s clients. Manage client relationships, anticipating client needs and proactively recommending strategies and tactics that achieve overall marketing objectives.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with major digital and social platforms, social monitoring providers, 3rd party content providers and paid media outlets. Identify agency partner needs to manage digital and social efforts most efficiently and stay current with market expectations.

  • Contribute to new business efforts to help diversify the MMB client portfolio.

ACD/Art Director / Boston
ACD/Art Director / Boston

MMB is looking to build out and strengthen our creative department. We are looking for a design-savvy ACD/Art Director with skill, enthusiasm and eagerness. Someone to work across all mediums on all accounts and help to elevate the quality of work.

We are an integrated, high-velocity, constantly evolving shop, so you should be ready for some team problem-solving and learning on the job when necessary. You should be as comfortable directing the work, as you are in rolling up your sleeves and designing the work yourself. We are looking for a curious mind with an ambitious drive. Someone who is able to solve problems conceptually and consistently deliver great creative work that is innovative and on strategy. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of work experience (creative agency, marketing or client-side experience required.)
  • Must provide online examples of design work, produced or not. Will not consider recent graduates.
  • BA or BFA in Graphic Design or related discipline preferred, but not required.

 

Required Skills:

  • Collaborate with writers to produce a range of high quality work.
  • Proficiency with Abode Suite.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, on time and within budget. 
  • Manage and execute projects from conception to completion. This includes, but is not limited to mastering solo TV production, reviewing proofs and managing photo shoots without Creative Director Supervision.
  • Experience across all mediums - TV, print, digital and non-traditional.
  • Ability to decipher creative briefs and develop concepts that clearly communicate the brand message.
  • Understand the brands they work on and create concepts that they can effectively sell - both internally and with clients. 
  • Deliver presentations to internal senior creative personnel and/or Clients knowledgeably and passionately.
  • Proven ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or clients. 
  • Develop relationships with the client and figure out what makes them tick

Senior Project Manager / Boston
Senior Project Manager / Boston

MMB is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager. The ideal candidate is a highly organized professional with a positive attitude and superb communication/interpersonal skills. He/she is both detail and solutions oriented. Critical thinking and the ability to plan is a must.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for guiding the integrated project team and for helping drive projects through the agency efficiently from initiation through delivery of final assets, across all channels. He/she collaborates closely with all departments every step of the way, in support of the project teams' creative vision and the agency product. The Senior Project Manager helps to ensure all is done on time and within scope and budget.

In this role, he/she serves as a central hub of internal process and workflow and supports all, with an emphasis on Creative. The Senior Project Manager acts as a point of contact for all departments, knows where a project stands at all times, and disseminates information accurately to the project team. He/she must think holistically about programs, brands, and accounts, providing consistency across the agency.


Responsibilities

  • Work with Creative Services Manager to allocate resources, accurately estimate team hours and raise issues regarding under-/over-resourcing
  • Collaborate with Account Management and Production to create schedules and project plans supporting scope of work; ensure adherence to said schedules and plans
  • Coordinate deliverables reviews with internal stakeholders, Proofreading, Business Affairs, and QA; secure internal approvals and feedback
  • Manage communications templates such as status reports and meeting recaps; facilitate or participate in status meetings
  • Ensure team members know what they are responsible for at each point of a project and help them to prioritize tasks
  • Schedule internal meetings such as kick offs, creative director reviews, internal reviews, pass offs, and post mortems
  • Facilitate scenario planning, contingency planning, and problem solving
  • Notify project team of project risk and scope creep
  • Provide structure and manage internal process, workflow systems, and naming conventions
  • Help ensure Production has the proper tools, information, and assets to provide ballpark and final estimates, and to produce
  • Serve as a mentor to more junior project managers


Job Requirements

  • 6–8 years experience in ad agency environment preferred
  • Deep appreciation for and strong understanding of the creative process
  • Familiarity with project management software and collaboration tools
  • Understanding of and ability to do whatever it takes
  • Ability to think critically, troubleshoot, prioritize, multitask, and adapt
  • Strong attention to detail and extremely organized
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Junior Studio Designer / Boston
Junior Studio Designer / Boston

The Junior Studio Designer is responsible for layout/resizes, file prep, and final release of digital banners/assets, as well as some print ads, POP and OOH. Required to prepare files for development and production while adhering to clients' strict brand standards.

The Junior Studio Designer will also work closely with the creatives to assist in the design and layout of various types of materials — print and digital — mainly for one of our foodservice clients.

Candidates interested in this role must have a great eye for design and excellent use of typography, as well as strong technical skills and attention to detail. Must have a good understanding of how to build print and web/digital files properly. Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize heavy workloads based on deliverables and timing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building and QCing of final files, ensuring that all work produced is technically correct
  • Design and Layout of materials, with guidance from creative teams
  • Ensure that work is produced in a timely manner and with the degree of quality promised to the client
  • Contribute to agency library of templates, training manuals and standard practices when necessary
  • Remain current on industry trends and technology

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Print Production or related field required
  • 6 mos. of experience as a studio artist and/or intern with relevant portfolio
  • Good understanding of digital file output and requirements for delivery to developers
  • Basic understanding of print production
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and confident working on multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Efficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including building files properly in programs (with desire and ability to learn). Photography and Digitial Imaging knowledge a strong plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

You will be in a regular office environment with occasional need to work in a private studio with exposures that are common in this industry.
